Taiwan : The Chinese Professional Baseball League is all set to kick start from 11th April 2020. Fans are not allowed to attend the LIVE event due to Coronavirus. However, Rakuten Monkeys, one of the franchise has come up with an alternate plan.
As the league is all set to begin without fans, the Taiwan based baseball league will host robot fans inside the stadium. Mannequin robots will be dressed up as fans. These fans will fill the stadium during the event.
The league is allowed to house only 200 people inside the stadium. This includes players, coaches, team staff, ballpark workers, league officials and the media. The organisers have arranged 500 robots to support the team.
The league was earlier scheduled to start from March but was delayed twice due to COVID19. Starting from 11th April, the league will host 5 teams.
