United State’s President, Donald Trump is missing fans and live sports events, seems like. In his recent briefing from the White House in reaction to the Global Coronavirus Pandemic, Trump said that fans should be able to sports events “sooner rather than later”.
A day before addressing the briefing, Trump discussed the current status with 13 top executives of pro sports leagues. Trump is also hopeful of NFL 2020 season taking place on its scheduled time.
However, the situation will also depend on how well the US is able to beat the COVID19 curve. As of 06th April, 10:09 GMT, the US recorded 336,851 active cases and 9620 deaths. Worldwide, more than 120 countries are under lockdown with 110 major sporting events remaining cancelled or postponed.
With year 2020 going for a toss in terms of LIVE sporting events, eSports is the only hope that fans are depending on right now.
