A Bump with a Bronze Hope : Vinesh Phogat
The most celebrated & ever victorious Vinesh Phogat, wrestler who recently shifted from 50kgs to 53kgs, always ensured a medal be it of any color has hit a serious bump at the ongoing World Wrestling Championship 2019. Defeated Olympic medalist Sofia Mattsson in the first round but went down to Mayu Mukaida by 0-7. Now, resting on hopes of Repechage.
Japanese wrestlers have always been the bone of contention considering their style of play and confidentiality in sharing their techniques with fellow wrestlers. However, the Coaches are doing their best to analyze through videos. Currently training with a foreign coach, Vinesh Phogat played her best of performances even getting into 3kgs upper weight category. However, in past one year, it has been for the first time that Vinesh Phogat was thrashed without scoring a single point.
With Mukaida reaching the finals, Vinesh has got one more chance to play for a Bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championship that will now decide her fate for the biggest event, Tokyo Olympics, 2020.
