Boxing Champ Amit Panghal dedicates Win to PM Modi

 

Recording a win by unanimous decision on day ninth of the World Boxing Championship 2019, Russia, Boxer Amit Panghal dedicated his victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending best wishes on his 69th birthday.

 

The Asian Games Gold Medalist has paved his way to the quarterfinal round of the World Boxing Championship and is just one bout away from securing a medal for the country. In an exclusive interview to Indian Sports Fan, the Indian pugilist assured the Prime Minister of grabbing a medal at the Worlds and expressed his warmth by adding “I will bring a medal and will eat cake from your hands”.

 

 While Twitter is flooded with wishes to the PM, Amit Panghal’s winning bout was welcomed by the fans followed by the second quarterfinal spot secured by boxer Manish Kaushik. Both Amit and Manish will be vouching for a semifinal spot in their round of top eight.

                                                                                                  

Hailing from the ‘State of Gods” Haryana, Amit Panghal is a strong Gold medal contender at the ongoing World Boxing Championship.
