The RPG Group becomes the first corporate in India to bring fitness officer on board considering employee health
Mumbai : ‘Fitness’ is the new ‘finance’ in the country. With growing fitness concerns and continuing imbalance in the economy, employee’s output to the work is of utmost importance. With the challenging work life balance, employees are facing many issues to upkeep their best order at workspace. Keeping in mind all the above factors, H V Goenka, RPGs Chairman has made a noble move for its employees and smart one for the country by introducing Chief Fitness Officer for his employees.
RPG group becomes the first corporate in India to render the facility of a Chief Fitness Officer to its employees. The officer is responsible for the employee’s better mental health that is directly proportional to their productivity. The officer will be counseling the employees and help them to better their performance in work life balance.
With Australian Cricketer Glenn Maxwell recently announcing a short break from Cricket due to ill mental health, the issue is speedily deep rooting in the routine of sports fans as well. While a die hard sports fan will always be looking to strike a balance between sports fan life and work life, normal fans or regular employees also find it difficult to cope up with the two.
Here, the need of a fitness officer becomes important for the employees that help them to understand their mind and reactions. Earlier, Gul Panag, fitness guru and actress also headed First Run as Chief Fitness Officer counseling runners on their daily routine.
The Chairman announced the move via a tweet on his official twitter account. While the twitter bio reflects his love for sports, Harsh Goenka focuses on a healthy & fit lifestyle not only for himself but also for his employees too.
At RPG, happiness is what we strive for. For happiness, your physical and mental well-being is most important. So we’d be perhaps a pioneer in appointing a Chief Fitness Officer in the #RPG group. We also have a gym in our office. #HelloHappiness #Wellness #CEAT
