Thousands of Ajax Fans to stay out of Chelsea. In stadia misconduct pulls off the plug.
Amsterdam : Ahead of the UEFA Champions League, AFC Ajax Fans receives a huge blow. Arguably one of the biggest fan community will not be participating in their match against Chelsea due to behavioral misconduct.
The November 5 match between Ajex and Chelsea will be without away fans as Chelsea is all set to host the Champions League fixture. Following behavioral misconduct against Valencia match inside the stadium UEFA took stern decision to maintain harmony amidst the match. Further to this, Ajex have also been imposed with a fine of €18,000.
Ajex cannot sell tickets to their fanbase of 2000 fans, neither the players will have their supporters in the stadium. Chelsea will have the best supporting base in the match. However, Ajex is yet to decide on filing an appeal with UEFA. But, last year’s report during Benfica keeps the decision looming for the fans.
Not much affected by the decision, Ajex have second plans for November 5. On the same day Leyton Orient will be playing against Brighton at U-21 Football League’s Trophy. Fans have already initiated to plan the second sporting deal of the day!
Dear @leytonorientfc. Are you willing to host 2.000 Ajax fans? We are systematicly and unlawfully screwed by @UEFA and @metpoliceuk. Lots of us booked transport and hotels allready ans will travel. You might risk a great atmosphere and memories forever. Kind regards, pic.twitter.com/hzWgJ0GVBF
