The Matchday 7 of the Premier League was a treat for the soccer enthusiasts as Chelsea’s band of new signings brought their respective European masterclass onto the English turf. The likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz paired up brilliantly with Chelsea homegrown Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham to make a serious team in the making.
In the Blues’ away game at Burnley, they dismantled a resolute home team’s defence comprehensively to clinch 0-3 result. Ziyech (26’) scored his second goal in Chelsea outfit within a week, making him an instant success at the Stamford Bridge. The Moroccan winger also scored in the Champions League tie against Krasnodar.
Center-half Kurt Zouma launched a rocket header into the nets from a set-piece, brilliantly delivered by Mount in the 63rd minute.
Timo Werner’s world-class finish from a Ziyech assist in the 70th minute, completed the domination for the forging unit. The best player for Chelsea undoubtedly was Reece James, who was lethal from the right flank.
Liverpool yet again had to come back from behind in their encounter against West Ham United. Pablo Fornals capitalized on the howler committed by Joe Gomez in the 10’ minute of the game.
The hosts then equalized through a penalty converted by Mohammad Salah in the 42nd minute. However, the game will be memorable for the striking zeal of new Liverpool signing, Diego Jota. He registered him a name in the scoresheet 85th minute after being denied a goal through VAR.
Elsewhere, strikes from Rayan Ait Nouri (18’) and Daniel Podence (27’) was enough to secure a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Luka Milivojevic was sent off in the 86’ following a rough tackle.
Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker executed a muted celebration after scoring against his boyhood club Sheffield United. Pep Guardiola’s men kept a clean sheet during their 0-1 win.
