Video Boards Above the Court to Enhance In Stadium Experience
Atlanta : NBA has introduced enhanced playback systems for fans. The high tech replay technology will bring an enhancing experience with closer and traceable moves of players.
The motion captures will give a video game look to the fans on giant video screens. The Hawks are the latest to add this technology making it a wave of future. The Bucks, Mavericks, Pacers and Wizards are also following this technology to replay highlights in the arena during matches.
Allen Hazlett, a fan from New Berlin quoted, “I think it’s an added benefit for the fans. For those that aren’t here all the time, to see that, I think, really ups the fan experience for them. I don’t think people realize until you go somewhere else and you don’t see it how lucky we are to have this arena. Everything here is state of the art.”
Intel is the technology partners for all six teams in providing replays. The replay happens with the help of capturing videos with 38 5K video cameras placed around the arena.
The move is also expected to improve ticket selling ratio with Atlanta spending almost $200 million in renovating the stadium.
