Fans and Bollywood stars render overwhelming support for the first Clean cum Fit India initiative
The National Sports Day 2019 marked a historic beginning this year. With etching the Fit India Movement to revolutionize the lifestyle of India, sports is becoming a must do activity for all. Fit India’s baton, embarked by PM Sh. Narendra Modi is now being taken forward by Sports Minister Kiren Rijeju with the Plogging Run scheduled for 2nd October.
From Howdy Modi to Howdy Fit India, Sports is rushing into everyone’s life in one or the other format. Whether it’s the regular yoga practice or daily activities, India is modifying ways in which sports can be integrated in the most creative and doable way. The “Ploggin Run” is one such example that is picking fire in the entertainment & sports industry through social media. Initiated by Sports Minister Kiren Rijeju, e-invitation has been sent across the nation to participate in large numbers on 2nd October. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, celebrities, sports stars and fitness enthusiasts will be running a marathon while picking up all waste that will come their way. That is the reason why a simple marathon has been modified to “Plogging Run” keeping in mind the “Clean India Movement”.
Many athletes and Bollywood stars have already started spreading the word confirming their participation through tweets. World Championship Medalist Bajrang Punia and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty Kundra are among few famous faces who are actively approaching their fans to participate in the marquee event.

The concept of Plogging emerged from Sweden that means jogging and plocka upp (Swedish) meaning ‘pick up. Sports & fitness fans are inviting the move with great enthusiasm following their favorite sports athletes.
