Granit Xhaka will miss the Carabao Cup Clash with threats looming on his Captaincy as a punishment to reacting to fans criticisms
Arsenal : Granit Xhaka, Arsenal club’s Captain has been recently criticized for reacting to fans booing during match day. Fans were booing Granit during the match when he was replaced by Bukayo Saka after his side blew a 2-0 lead against Crystal Palace. Xhaka, got back to the fans reacting aggressively with cupping his ear and walking towards the stands. Xhaka even uttered eff words to the fans tossing the captain’s armband towards Pierre Emerick.
On a match day against Crystal Palace that came to a draw, Xhaka was so upset with fans reaction that he got back to them reacting aggressively. Later, Xhaka realised his mistake but now the Captain is on the verge of losing his Captaincy of the team. Concerned Arsenal authorities have decided to counsel the midfielder followed by the act.
Post the incident, Xhaka talked with his friend, footballer Patrik Dibrani and expressed his deep grief. Xhaka said that he became very upset, devastated and sad after the act. Dibrani even added that Xhaka trains a lot and is happy in missing parties if that makes him perfect. But, criticism from supporters makes him upset and devastating.
Dibrani further added, ‘You have to be there for each other in the bad times as well as the good. There should be no place for booing your own players. I spoke on the phone to Granit after the game. He’s not in a good place – he is grief-stricken. He regretted his actions straight away. He is an emotional person.’
Unai Emery, head coach of Arsenal says that the devastated ‘Xhaka’ should apologize to fans. Emery also said, “My ideal future is to watch again Xhaka playing and every supporter supporting him. I don’t know if I can or will achieve it but this is my ideal. ’
Xhaka will also not be playing the Carabao Cup Clash with Liverpool on Wednesday. While his friend, Dibrani says that Xhaka’s age is such that he can easily make mistakes but he is a human which fans should realise.
