With a 7 wicket win against the West Indies, Indian Women’s Cricket team yet again dispayed a magnificent performance in its second game and continues to inch closer to the World Cup. While the captain, Mithali Raj, missed her 8th consecutive fifty by just 4 runs, the amends were made by Smriti Mandhana, the twenty year old girl from Sangli, Maharashtra, who has become India’a latest sensation in Women’s Cricket. Playing at unbeaten 106, Smriti guided India to a comfortable win. After her return from an injury rest, she is seen in her best form till date. The left-handed batsman smashed 90 runs off 72 balls against the hosts England in the first game. Fans all across the world have been applauding the young lady for her calm and calculative knock against the Carribean counterparts.
