A stubborn hot afternoon and a working weekday, yet the audi fell short to accomodate the 300 audiences from all over the city, who were perfectly on time to watch ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
The 8th Dainik Jagran Film Festival organised at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi was a dynamic celebration of movies from all spheres and one of these was the biopic of our star cricketer MS Dhoni. No lethargia could manage to refrain the venue to be surprisingly filled with a housefull audience ranging from students in their 20s to couples in their 70s at 2:00 PM on last Tuesday, for the fans couldn’t stop watching and rewatching the journey of their idol. “I don’t follow Cricket, I enjoy it like a passion”, says SP Saluja, a 70 year old man who was with his wife for the movie screening in Audi 2. For Nitish, a 24 year old guy, it was the 6th watch and yet, he says he is not done. He can go on watching the story of the ex-captain forever. Captain Cool’s modesty and calmless was why Nikita and Ritu, two college students, have been fangirling him since the past 7 years. For Ms. Santosh Thakur, a parent of three adult children, the movie should be watched by every parent as it shows the importance of sports and games in a child’s routine. According to her, the star cricketer is an inspiration for all the kids who come from a middle class family amd strive to pursue their dreams.
Asked on what brought these people to witness this screening even after 10 months of its official release, they all agreed to Akshay’s reply for whom this was the 11th watch- “When I watch our players playing, I feel every emotion attached to them and felt by them. And, I wish to feel the 2011 World Cup win uncountable times, even if this is just a movie scene here.”
